Pellet Gun Found After Lockdown Yesterday, Two Students Facing Charges
After the lockdown during third and fourth period yesterday, the Durham County Sheriff’s Office issued two juvenile petitions and school admin confirmed a pellet gun was found. “While law enforcement did not locate a weapon on campus during the lockdown, a pellet gun was confiscated during the investigation with the assistance of a concerned parent,” said Assistant Principal Huckbody in a message out to Jordan families late yesterday evening. The lockdown began due to a tip suggesting a weapon was on campus, similar to the lockdown on April 22, where a weapon was not found.
