College Acceptance Overview for Jordan Class of ‘25

For many people, spring is an exciting time, with spring break, warm weather, and the anticipation of wrapping up the 4th quarter. For the Jordan class of 2025, spring also has them on the edge of their seats, as springtime is when many students hear back from colleges. Jordan does not put together the stats for their current graduating class until closer to the end of the school year, when students start finalizing their post-graduation plans. However, we do have some predictions.

According to Ms. Ramos, the lead guidance counselor at Jordan, it is predicted that the stats for this year will be similar to last year. 52% of Jordan’s graduating class from last year went to a 4-year college, 27% went to a 2-year college, 19% went into the workforce, and 2% went into the military. As far as 2-year colleges, many students from Jordan plan on going to our local community college, Durham Tech. In regards to 4-year colleges, it is common for many students to stay in state. According to some of the data from last year, the most attended in-state colleges of the Jordan graduating class included NCCU, NC State, and UNC-Chapel Hill. When looking at out-of-state colleges, there is a wide range of colleges students plan on attending to meet their diverse needs.
