Excitement is building for Jordan HS’s Spirit Week, which will take place the week of October 2. Everyone is strongly encouraged to participate, including teachers and faculty!
Inclusion is a priority for Planning Committee, which is led by Ms. Bell and a group of students from Student Government (SGA). Some Spirit Week themes that were originally discussed, including Barbie v. Oppenheimer and Rhyme Without Reason, were eventually vetoed because many students likely wouldn’t feel comfortable participating if they were unsure how many others would dress up, too. On the other hand, wearing PJs or a favorite jersey to school are low-risk options that will result in more student participation.
This year’s themes are Pajama Day, Team/Jersey Day, Wacky-Tacky Tie-Dye, Character Day (from a book, movie, show, etc.), and Falcon Pride. Students are encouraged to dress up for as many of the five days as possible!

Flyers, hung up by SGA, inform students about Spirit Week in English and Spanish.
